Bay Area Lightening Storm

Last night we had a rare August thunderstorm roll across the Bay Area.  It was largely dry (patio just barely got wet during the raining portion) but produced some wonderful lightening.  Upon the first flash we saw, my wife and I went out onto the patio to watch the show.  We stayed out there until we felt the first few drops and started feeling the hairs on the back of necks standing up.  Then we moved indoors and I set the cameras up to capture the show from our bedroom window.  For a while it almost felt like I was back in the midwest.

I used the lightening show to do an impromptu side by side comparison of the Sony A6000 and my old work horse of the Canon 5D Mark II. The first two photos came from the A6000 with no color adjustment, the later two came from the 5D Mark II with no color adjustment.  I realized afterwards that the Sony was set to record images JPEG while the Canon was set to RAW.  The color different between the two is interesting.  Wondering if the fact that the lightning was more prominent in the Canon photos had possible resulted in color difference?
