The Waterlily Pond, another regular contributor to Bouquets to Art, had an installation this year that was one of my favorites. A common theme you see at Bouquets to art is to match the color palette of the art work with that of the floral design. But their design, when matched with the abstract work of Helen Frankenthaler’s Crusades, not only matched the color palette but also became a 3 dimensional extension of the artwork.
In the above photo the floral design seems to be framed by the artwork. While moving to the right a few feet and the design appear to hang off the side of the artwork, like below. But both are just different ways the floral design extends from the artwork.
You can check out the other works from this year’s and previous year’s Bouquets to Art in the archive where art prints are available for purchase.
Thank you for featuring our piece on your blog. You really got our concept!
