Yesterday, at an air show in Georgia, one of the Navy’s Blue Angel precision flying team aircraft crashed killing the aviator. If you have ever had the pleasure of experiencing the Blue Angel’s perform, you understand how amazing their flying is.

In honor of the Aviator, I wanted to share some of the photos that I have taken of the Blue Angel’s when they have performed here in San Francisco at the annual Fleet Week festival. As you can see from the image below, the precision by which these guys fly is amazing.

I have been lucky enough to photograph the Blue Angels on multiple occasions as they have been practicing or performing during Fleet Week. I only hope that they perform again this year at Fleet Week. You can find images from 2003 and 2005 Fleet Week at my website.
