2016 Photo a Day (72 of 366): Dogwood Reflections in Merced River

Winter days with blue sky’s and harsh mid-day light is the perfect time to look for other ways to photograph the natural world, like through reflections.  Here the play of light falling on winter bare trees and some green shrubs with the shadows of higher walls of Yosemite Valley create a lovely contrasting image.  Taken near Mirror Lake, right beneath Half Dome, this group Dogwood from across the river caught my eye.
