  • iPhone users should also check out PhotoCalc’s Solar Calculator feature for immediate access to this data while in the field (thought no moon rise/set data yet…) or FocalWare which “calculates the position of the sun and moon from rise to set anywhere in the world, at anytime of the year”. I have use both applications primarily because FocalWare doesn’t provide information on twilight start/end times.
