Photo: Where’s the Food?

I know it’s cliche, but some times the best models live under the same roof as you. And sometimes they have four legs and tail. Napoleon is our pug. If you haven’t had the chance to spend time around a pug, you don’t realize what your missing. They have wonderfully expressive faces and personality (and yes, there is a reason we named him Napoleon. And even the stately French couples that we ran into in a park in San Francisco laughed at the name and association.)

As interesting-less his image might be to some, I still love taking his photo and sharing these images with the world. My wife has gotten in the habit of holding him up in front of her posing him. The first time it happened was accidentally during a photo shoot idea I had that we were testing. Now it’s becoming a recurring theme. I just love how you can just see a bit of her head behind Napoleon. Click through on the image to see the current collection of Napoleon pictures. I have more that I will be posting over the weekend.

  1. A hot air balloon or at least the mockup of one makes for a pretty interesting background.

I can just barely see your wife holding the dog up, and it’s a bit distracting. It’d look more interesting if the dog was just floating there.
