An alternate view of the same Oak tree from my previous post. The area where this photo was taken is an open space area that is part of the East Bay Regional Park District and is also used by local ranchers to graze their cattle. Nothing is more disturbing than hiking through the dark with your head lamp on and suddenly seeing 15 pairs of glowing eyes reflecting back at you. I wanted to stop and try and capture that image…until I remember that there was a bull in the herd.
