Global Light Pollution Map
Map of light pollution around the world as well as Navigator Tool for zooming in on specific areas. Great tool to help find the best locations near you for night time photography.

- The Foliage Network (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest)
- US Forest Service’s Fall Color Portal (National Forest reports, Forest Service regional reports, and links to State website reports. Warning: some state website links appear to be broken or misdirected…)
- Sun or Moon Rise/Set Table(via U.S. Naval Observatory)
- iPhone users should also check out PhotoCalc’s Solar Calculator feature for immediate access to this data while in the field (thought no moon rise/set data yet…) or FocalWare which “calculates the position of the sun and moon from rise to set anywhere in the world, at anytime of the year”. I have use both applications primarily because FocalWare doesn’t provide information on twilight start/end times.
