I just signed up for a multi-city seminar about the Business of Photography in the Digital Era. This seminar is being hosted by PhotoShelter along with Apple, HP, JPG Magazine, LiveBooks, Sammy’s Camera, and Xrite. There is an obvious spin with this seminar to capture additional customers for PhotoShelter (I have been involved in putting on these type of seminars in the past and know the game, not to mention that Photoshelter ask if your one of their customers when you register…so user your junk email address when you register unless you want more spam in your inbox). Regardless, this looks like it could be a very lively day of discussion about the future of photography.
If this sounds interesting, I would advise you to sign up quickly as these seminars are designed to sell out quickly… They are taking place in September and being held New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles and are a whole afternoon of presentations and discussions.
If you’re planning to attend San Francisco’s, drop me a line and we can figure out a way to get together for Lunch before hand…there are a bunch of great places right around the venue (North Beach part of The City).
