Scott Beale’s Laughing Squid has a great post about the event. Near the bottom of the post is a link to an audio recording that someone did that is just amazing quality (the “thud” you hear about 1/3 way through was the recorder being smacked by a pillow…). Also, check out the video at the top of the post and see how many photographers were there. Eventually the law of diminishing returns comes into play…as a photographer would you have tried to get photos in this environment or just laid down your camera and picked up a pillow?
Last year was great as my office was 2 blocks from the event, so I just walked down and started snapping. This year, I had prior plans. From the look of the photos I have seen, doesn’t look like I missed much compared to what I captured from last year…
