Some neon sign photos taken from downtown Pleasanton, CA on the night of the blue moon. I originally headed there to find an image for a photo competition I’m planning on entering. I ended up realizing how much fun it is to shoot neon signs. The bright colors, great contrast make for perfect subjects to experiment with different styles and ideas.

It’s also a way to photographically explore an area. I have been looking for a regular way of photographically exploring cities that I visit during business travels, and I think I just found it…
