The reason these Gray Jays were landing next to the view point we stopped at in Olympic National Park was because someone had left some bread crumbs on the ground. While I make a point of not feeding wildlife I encounter in the field, the food left behind by someone else gave me the chance to capture some great photos of the Gray Jay eating. I love the detail in this photograph; the way the smaller crumbs are fly off the bigger bread crumb as the Jay bites into it.
