The Gray Jay is one of the many bird species that can be found in the Olympic National Park. While driving up to Hurricane Ridge during the recent road trip, we pulled off at a view point and noticed about five or six Gray Jays flying back and forth from the edge of the view point to the trees. What ever was at the edge of the view point made them ignore us humans near by. This allowed me to photograph a the Jays in numerous situations. I really like this triptych where this particular Gray Jay turned to look right at me. You get a to see the full range of profile for this bird.
