Yosemite River winds past snow covered trees and boulders at the base of Yosemite Falls in Yosemite National Park after winter storm.
A fresh blanket of snow covers the trees and rocks along Yosemite Creek at the base of Yosemite Falls. The winter season got me to remember this photo from earlier this spring when I tried timing a winter storm with a trip to Yosemite…and for once my timing was perfect! There is still nothing as magical as Yosemite with a fresh blanket of snow. Come spring and early summer, most of the rocks in this photo will be covered with water gushing over the falls. On this particular day it was cold enough that the river was made of semi-frozen water, like a slushy.
