20 Degrees outside in Central Wisconsin, sitting around with Grandma and Grandpa and stories of back in our day inevitably start. Stories about how much snow they had back when they were younger, snow so deep that the horses had a hard time walking through the field to drag logs back to the house for firewood. So when I was walking around later in the day and I came across this small pile of logs cut down earlier in the year it caught my eye. And the nostalgic mood of the stories were still with me, which made this sepia tone version of the photo just feel right. And a new appreciation for the modern day as I walk back into the house and turn the heat up with the push of a button.
